Detailing Rottweiler
Hey all!!

The only thing that kept popping into my head today was "Candyland". You know the game with gum drops and tasty treats for everyone. :rockon I felt like I was in Candyland today when I pulled up to my client's home. He had tasty treats for everyone (if you are into cars). Not only did he have the two sweet rides I detailed for him today but he also had a '02 Lightning modded to the max with about 580 rear wheel ponies. His wife drives a brand new SC430 that I'll be detailing next Saturday and he also has a pearl white twin turbo charged SC430 with over 700 rwhp that has been in several magazines!! His garage was a work space every man dreams of...a lift, satellite TV and radio...simply everything!! I can't even begin to describe it...it really was Candyland. The topper to it all was that he is one of the nicest most down to earth people. A true gentleman and just an absolute pleasure to chat with all day.

I originally came into contact with this client through a body shop I have done some work for recently. The M5 had been in for some service and even though he told the dealer not to wash it...they did...and tore it up. It honestly looked like the wash media they used had some type of grit/dirt in it. I polished the entire car with IP/FP II and sealed with Trade Secret at that time.

He called yesterday and complimented me on the job I did on his Bimmer and said that his wife was going to sell her S2000 and that it needed a good once over. I took care of both that and the M5 again. Someone at his work had run their hands across the car when it had dirt/dust on it so it had some light marring. The S2000 had about 45K on it and had never had a good detail. Below is a description of my products and process for both cars.

Enjoy,
Mike

The details...

S2000

Wash with Meg's Gold Class shampoo

Clay with Clay Magic's clay bar using Meg's #34 as a lube

Polish with Menzerna IP using a LC orange pad and my PC set at 5-6

Polish with Menzerna FP II using a LC white pad and my PC set at 5-6

Seal with Poorboy's Natty's Paste Wax (blue) by hand with a foam pad

M5

Wash with Meg's Gold Class shampoo

Hood was polished with same above Menzerna combo. The rest of the car received FP II via white LC pad.

Seal with TOL's Trade Secret paste wax by hand with a foam pad.

Both cars have AA on tires and wells and VM on exterior glass. The M5 rims have Poorboy's Wheel Sealant.

He just put a new exhaust system on the M5 and you can see the largexhuge tips in this pic. I'd kill the name of the brand if I tried to pronounce/spell it but it is a German made kit and sounds like a daumn F1 car!!!

All leather surfaces have been treated with Poorboy's Leather Stuff.

The steering wheel is upside down in this pic but you actually get a pretty good view of the shift paddles.

Great job on the details. I'm sure it's a pleasure detailing those great vehicles for a good person.

P.S. I sure hope you wiped out those door jams on the S2K.;)

wow man very very very nice work, both cars looks awsome and im sure you have a customer for life as he has a few more cars. But nice work i cant say that enough

The pictures are stunning. I mean they are terrific. i must get out my Funk and Wagnel thesarus to add further superlatives.

The M5 with the red flooring in the picture is knocking my socks off. WOW!!

As I see the pictures it appears that the two BMW's have the same paint. But maybe not. Is that why you have two different toppers? Different paint??

Audiboy is pretty sharp. Nothing gets past a true DC detailer. I never noticed the doorjams.

Yet with all that Candy I might have been overwhelmed.

The M5 is wicked! Have you heard its exhaust? Pure adrenaline rush just hearing it. I hate that SMG tranny though. Neighbor let me slowly drive it around the block and it really takes getting used to. He still hasn't gotten used to it.

I'm actually debating which color that is. Its either "black saphire metallic" or " silver grey metallic".

The flourescent lights dont help much either..

Great Job on a perfect car.

NEVERMIND. ITS "BLACK SAPHIRE METALLIC"

I couldn't help mentioning it. Dirty door jams are my #1 pet peeve of detailing.:D

I do too. Too much of a pain in the ass to enjoy. Just give me a good old 6 spd and I'll be happy.

Jee-Zuss!

It's a coin toss to say if I'm more impressed by the garage or your details.
(ha, ha on the dirty jams -too funny)

Your work speaks volumes and stands out every time. Very impressive, really!

:bow :bow:bow:bow:bow:bow:bow:bow:bow:bow:bow

Thanks for sharing.

Now I want to burn down my garage and get one like your client has!

THANK YOU all for the very kind words!!! :)

Cleaning door jams is over rated and useless....

Did I get your attention??? :lmfao

Actually the interior pic on the Honda was taken after the interior was done and before the exterior was completed...so yes...I did clean the jams.

It's cool. I just tend to notice the little things. Again, great job on both vehicles!
