Once apon a time this client lived in Toronto and always had his new cars prepped by a great detailer by the name of Kevin Hamill of GTA in detail! Kevin is no average detailer his skills are world renown and second to non. When Kevin's client moved to the bay he asked for a recommendation to take care of his new Cayenne GTS. I was honored and pleasantly surprised to receive this recommendation! No pressure at all living up to such a high standard! Lets get on with it!

First glance a little lifeless but that is fairly common on "new" cars.

Hmm someone needs rotary lessons!

So far some normal defects here and there swirls, etchings, and basic lack of shine.

The hood was hammered! There were tons of water spots, which I later found to be all over the car. At this point I had seen enough so I got busy washing and decontaminating paint and wheels.

So after cleaning it up I started with a few test spots.

Since the paint on this car was hard as concrete, to get these results took multiple steps! I had a planned laid out to make sure I live up to my Canadian friends recommendation.

Ok fast forward a day and half, some lost sleep, and what seemed like a never ending polishing session! This is naked paint before coating. Just checking in multiple light sources to make sure its good. And well... HOLY GLOSSY!!!

Pulled back inside and Opti Coat Pro was applied! After an hour or so she's ready for her close up!

Thanks guys!

Dang Joe. That is glossy.

Are you not doing the other shop anymore?

Yeah I'm doing a smaller operation now in the hopes of getting my life back! I have a kid on the way and 70-100 work weeks won't cut it for that. So I started a new company OCDetailing. And I'm hoping my new iPhone 6 plus will have a better camera lol. Because in person this car was one that when I parked it I just kept staring at it!

LOL Love the video! Very cool. Great job on the paint. How many light sources do you normally check in? I'm thinking I need to add a couple light sources for inspection.
Thank you for fixing the link! And glad you liked it! And as for checking it really depends on the service and color. For this kind of job it was checked with Halogens at off set angles, LED floods dead on and low set angles, a flex light, t5's and direct sun. When doing the halo/led check I set them at either end of the car and walk across catching different spectrums as they blend will usually show a little more than one of or the other. Just typing that out and thinking back to how much time I spent checking my work... Gawd I thought it was a joke but I guess I would qualify as OCD :rofl

Congratulations on your new Business, Joe !

I remember when you first started posting a few years ago - wow - you are still Killing It !!

That is just Stunning, Beautifully Perfect, Attention to Detail !!!

Hope you and your family are always well and that you guys's new Angel comes all safe and sound..
