Why use eraser over IPA

I agree. I use IPA on harder, lighter paints but for my soft, black Yota Panel Wipe is the way to go.

My home brew is 22 oz distilled water + 9 oz 70% IPA + 1 oz ONR in a 32 oz bottle. This is a 20% IPA solution that smells good and has some slickness. It works well, better than Griot's Pre-Wax Cleaner IMO, not as good as Eraser. Next batch I might try more IPA and ONR.

This mixture will work with Opti products, but the ONR will leave behind polymers that can interfere with other coating bonding properly. So personally I wouldn't use this mixture for a coating prep.
