Cquartz Finest Question

I've been a long time detailing enthusiast on my cars along with friends and families cars. With that said my wife's new '15 Subaru Outback will be coming in at the end of the month. I already advised the dealer to not remove the plastic from the car until I'm there and that I don't want any dealer prep done to the vehicle. I've been contemplating getting Cquartz Finest applied to the car right after I get it. There is only one authorized detailer here in Oklahoma City area that does Finest. He gave me a rough estimate of $900 with wheel off service (entire wheel coated), $750 without wheel off (face of wheel coated only) these quotes are and out the door price (paint prep included). Not sure if this quote is high or not, unfortunately I can't really do any shopping around as per cqfinet website there is only the one authorized dealer. Any info or help you all could provide would be greatly appreciated.
 
Cquartz finest is nice from what I've seen, but I could never justify that much money. Cquk will produce great results for much less
 
If your good with a polisher I would just go like most of them said and do it your either with uk or gloss coat as it seems promising so far.
 
Ok you've all sold me I'll put some UK on myself. As I mentioned earlier I've already told my salesman that I don't want the plastic pulled off the car until I get there once the car arrives and I don't want them to touch the car as far as any kind of detailing goes. With that said when I get it home I plan to wash it, Iron X, clay bar, polish, Carpro Eraser and then the UK. Seeing as I don't expect to have any problems with swirls and such. I was thinking of trying some Carpro Reflect polish but wanted to see if anyone has used this and if they liked it or not. Again I'm always looking for input to better my detailing experiences. I tried reflect 3 seperate times and didn't like it, it's hard to work with and buff off. I've since discovered 3D polish and it's flat out awesome, can be used in direct sun and leaves a remarkable finish with a black pad
 
Reflect works great, most of the wipe-off complaints are a result of using way too much. You need to use 3 pea-size dots for each section and blow out the pad (using shop air) after each section.

I would not go out and buy more polish just for this event.

Be sure to work in very small sections when applying UK (18"x18"), and use the CarPro suede towel to wipe-off the residue. Then use a second Suede towels to do another wipe. Always apply UK quickly, in a thick coat and wipe-off RIGHT away. This is key to preventing streaks in warm weather. If you do it correctly, you should use about 15ml for the Outback.
 
I'd be surprised if there is no defects on the car. I would be prepared to do some type of polishing before cquartz. Remember your paint will be looking the way it does for 2+ years, don't you want it looking it's best. Reflect is a good economical polish.

Maybe pick up some Menzerna Fast Gloss Compound (FG-400) too just in case you have a really hard clearcoat. And if you really want to protect the new ride, consider removing the wheels to decontaminate them and coat them too.

Very good advice here. Menzerna polishes are great. I doubt you would need the FG400 since most subie paints are usually(keyword) soft but you never know, there could be that one defect you want to chase a little.
