Hello from Louisville KY. I have a new 2014 Subaru Outback and lookin for some solid advice. What is the best bay to protect the paint. I see various waxes, polishes and sealants. Being old school I just went for a good wax and it has worked well. I have been reading on the paint sealant and it does the paint, headlights, trim and windows. Do these products reall work that well?

Thanks

Hey OldSalt..

Welcome to AF. Yes the paint offering from DP and Black Label are really good. I have used them on my windshield, wheels, headlights and paint with great results.

Greetings Old Salt!

The way I think about the difference between wax vs sealant approach is organic engine oil vs. synthetic engine oil. The later last so much longer then the former because it's been engineered that way. However like most man made things, function doesn't always equal eye appeal. Which is why many fellow car care enthusiast will seal their vehicles with a product like Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant for longevity and then top it with a carnauba wax for added pop.

In the end it comes down to how much time-effort-$$$ you want to spend on your new Subaru...

Welcome to Autopia :)
