Flat Black Enclosed Trailer Help

Ive got a friend that just purchased a 28' car hauler and is in need of some assistance. Its supposed to be a flat black powder coated surface but I am not completely sure. What hes told me is that you are not supposed to use any polish, wax, or sealant on this surface. Well he took it to a truck wash after a weekend of racing and its developed heavy streaking all over the trailer and hes unable to remove them.

My question is has anyone had any experience working on something like this and what products would you recommend? Sorry for the crappy pics. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If it's powder coat the good thing is it's extremely durable. Powder coat doesn't have to be waxed or sealed, but it can for added protection. The streaks almost remind me of dressing that has run off due to rain. But since we aren't completely sure it's PC, I'd spray some Optimum Power Clean on a towel and test a small spot to see how it reacts with the surface and the streaks.
 
Ya sorry for the lack of info, im in the dark as well. He just told me the surface is powder coated. Ill try some optimum power clean and see what happens.

All good. I wish I could be more clear as well. Since we aren't sure about the finish, just dab it on the towel to be safe.
 
Most matte finishes are going to be slightly absorbant because of slight (microscopic) texture that they have. Any product that increases gloss (wax, sealant, even some soaps) can create an uneven finish as the product lodges into the texture. Things like polishes can abrasively "sand" the surface smooth, resulting in a permanent increase in gloss.

It looks like an incorrect soap, with gloss enhancers was used. The streaks should fade over time.

I would use a soap that is silicone free and not loaded to the gills with gloss enhancers...

Pinnacle Black Label Shampoo is definitely the best choice, or Dodo Juice SuperNatural Shampoo.
 
They should've thought of this before deciding to buy or paint a trailer that color. This fad is already dying IMO
