Meguiars Final Detail QD

Does anyone remember Meguiars Final Detail Quick Detailer? I bought a gallon like ions ago and was giving the garage queens some TLC tonight. I reached into the depths of my detailing cabinet and pulled this stuff out again and gave it a try.

I still have like a quarter gallon left. I know Meguiars doesn't make this QD anymore but the gloss and smell is amazing. I think it was replaced with Last Touch.

Anybody else still use it??

that stuff would definitely fall into the "shake well" category. :D
looks kinda like megs last touch detail spray D155, wonder if that was what replaced your megs final detail ?

I think it as the same as Megs # 34 Final Inspection. Works great, smells good, no silicone. Great for a body shop. I still have a gallon.

Definitely no where near #34 Final Inspection. I have both. FD leaves a much higher gloss. I am also pretty sure it's not body shop safe.

Hi Pat, I just found this thread.

I do in fact still have some Final Detail, about 3/4's of a gallon remaining. In addition to what's in the gallon container I still had some in a spray bottle as well which I think had partially evaporated and no doubt had concentrated over time. On the weekend I added some distilled water to a ~ 1:1 ratio to what was in the spray bottle and gave it a test on a door panel on my wife's new CX-9 (currently wearing Meg's ULW). The result -- unbelievable slickness! :rockon

I still love the stuff. I can't image why it was discontinued, unless it fell victum to the VOC laws like some other products.

It's an amazing QD. My guess is that it fell do to VOC restrictions. I still have half a gallon left....Love the stuff...:bow

I still have some from a 5 gallon container. Always worked great for me and it is a very good clay lube. I believe you are right about the VOC issue.
