Looking for a little 3 inch da to buy for spot polishing. I keep looking at the griots 3 inch kit that comes with the 3 inch hydro-tech pads and at $109.99 it is extremely reasonable. But also have recently heard about the metabo sxe400 from a friend of a friend and at $119.99 on amazon it isn't to bad either. Anyone have any experience pertaining to either that could help me decide it would greatly appreciated.

No experience on the Metabo, but unlike what you might hear on the GG 3", it is capable of removing swirls:

I have both and love them. Griots stands behind their machines 100%. My GG6 came apart on me a couple weeks ago, and they replaced it no questions asked. In fact, they have replaced 2 for me. My first one was a lemon right out of the box.

Oh wow, that's awesome. There is no time frame on when it screws up? It's the life of the machine?

I had a chance to use the Metabo and the Griots 3" machines before I decided on the Griots. The only difference I could see was one was green and one was orange. The Griots has has worked flawlessly for me. I am looking to replace it with a Rupes LHR 75 when the cash finally becomes available.

First time I have seen the rupes mini! It looks super nice. But it's air, right?

Nope. Lifetime is lifetime. I did have to pay the $10 difference because the new GG6 is a 3rd gen and my old one was a 2nd, but thats a small price to pay imo.

Ok cool. Didn't know if there was something in the fine print.
