Review: Ultima WW

I love UWW+. Use it all the time as a presoak before a Rinseless. Great QD too. If you can afford it, it's an awesome Rinseless it's not that cost effective though if that's your thing.

I do not plan to EVER use the product as a waterless wash...I am more concerned with its ability to be a QD and clay lube?

It's a great QD if you ask me, the smell is terrific and it leaves behind a slick finish. Better than ONR. However, I think ONR at the appropriate dilution would be better suited for clay lube than UWW+ at their price points.

I keep some in the car along with a couple MF towels to deal with bird bombs or insects when I know I'm not going to be able to do a proper wash soon.

how many oz do I need to mix in a 16oz or 32oz bottle for QD? Is the dilution different for a waterless wash and clay lube?

How much do you guys use on a typical waterless wash? I just used a full 32 oz spray bottle on my first waterless wash. The stuff is cheap so I dont really care, just curious.

I've only seen the .5oz to 22oz of distilled water ratio mentioned. Is this the same whether I'm using it as a WW or as a QD? In AZ I need to take off a thin layer of dust at least every other day, sometimes daily. Collinite 845 is my base wax.

Also curious as to why to use distilled water?

Yes qd or ww is same ratio.

Distilled water is the purest water you can get your hands on.

It depends on how dirty the car is, but yes, I have used 32 oz (or more) when the car is fairly dirty.

Great review and this works great. Not sure if it's on purpose but I think your adding double the recommended amount per gallon.

Thanks

Thanks

Thanks, and yes you are correct I did 3 oz for the gallon, I did math too quickly in my head and forgot to divide by 2.

You were correct the first time around. 3 oz. for a gallon (128oz). 1oz @ 44oz. or 3oz at 132oz...close enough.

For some reason I had thought the dilution ratio was 4:1 so I mixed 6.4oz to a 32oz bottle. I was thinking to myself "damn I'm almost out already". Anyways since I've already mixed it anyone know how to do the math or way to divide this up to fix this?

The mixing instructions is 0.5 oz and fill to 22 oz so if you used 6.4 oz you would fill to 282 oz so you have 250 oz to go (just under 2 gallons). You could pour what you have in a bucket to mix and then subdivide into gallon jugs.

awesome guys...it was between this, Chemical guys, or Optimum Wash and Wax...

I love my Adam's I just can't afford to use it at the price point it is at

I've been testing WW lately and have UWW+, DP, Adam's, CG Ecosmart and as of the last bogo Pinnacle on the way. Honestly Adam's might be the least impressive one of the bunch. Not that it doesn't work well or clean safely it just does nothing else when your done with it while all the competitors do. No gloss enhancement and no slick feeling finish. Leaves the car as if you just washed it with a non gloss enhancing shampoo and water. Again that's not a bad thing there's just no bonus of added protection from wax or polymer, no gloss or added slickness which is a bummer when every other WW does all those tricks too after safely cleaning. Plus with the price compared to the others it's not worth it. It's a pretty blue color and smells nice though. :D

Oh and I own, use and like a BUNCH of Adam's stuff so I'm no hater. It's just one of the less impressive products when compared to all it's competition.

I have a video so you don't mess up in the future ;)

Ok so I need to mix 282 oz of distilled water. Thanks. I'm going to see what I can find. I'm in Canada and all of our containers are in liters. What's messed up is the Canadian gallon is 4.456 liters and the US gallon is 3.785 liters.

The minerals/material in non-purified water can dilute the active ingredients in the solution. Products like washless and rinseless washes are designed to "stick" to hard materials (such as dirt/paint/grime) to create a buffer that allows their removal. Keeping it simple, you will get better performance by using a purified water.

Also, Pinnacle Liquid Crystal Waterless Wash w Carnauba dilutes at a 1 part to 32 parts of water for another excellent value in waterless washing!
