I find when I use CS to squirt the microfiber pad and then wipe on the panel, seems to on smoother and easier, for me anyway.

I watched a vid on opti coat where he took a MF and almost immediately after putting it on the paint, he spread and wiped it with a clean MF. I do that too with CS and get a great even coat with no high spots....

I guess the reason for "stay local" is I can't see ordering a $15 item and have to pay $8+ to ship it. That is just me I guess.

respectfully, let me push you a bit here......you have $2-4K in mods and you won't spend $8 to get superior products to the local stuff? Try and think past the $8....you will thank us later....
