Maserati Quattroporte Corrected and Coated w/ Cquartz FINEST! - TLC Auto Detail

Hi everyone! We had a car that I was very excited about in the garage today, a 2004 Maserati Quattroporte Pininfarina! This vehicle was booked for a correction and then to be coated with Cquartz Finest for the ultimate in protection and gloss. We started with the normal wash and decon process, but this car was very clean to begin with, so we didn't take any photos. After the decon, we could see what the paint really looked like.

In all honesty it wasn't in bad shape for a car going on 10 years old, but it certainly needed some TLC. We ended up going with a two step process to remove all of the deeper swirls, and bring back some gloss that was missing.

The first step was Menzerna FG400 with a microfiber pad on the Rupes 21, and that was followed by Menzerna SF4000 on a green buff and shine pad. We were very happy with the correction, I would call it 95%+ free of defects at this point.

After we were happy with the correction, we prepped the vehicle for coating. We started by doing a wash to remove any left over polishing dust, and then did a wipe down with Car Pro Eraser on the paint, glass, wheels, and trim. After everything was clean, and free of oils, we applied two thick layers of Cquartz Finest to everything. Here is how it looked while curing in the garage.

And here is how it looked out in the sunlight.

We absolutely loved working on this vehicle. The paint was amazing as well, transforming from a red/orange in the sun, to a burgundy, almost deep purple in the shade. It fit this elegant vehicle very well! Anyway, thanks for taking the time to read our write up, and we look forward to your feedback!

Beautiful job! I bet that color is really spectacular in person. I saw one of these in a forest green driving around town that needed some love but I didn't wan't to stalk the owner for too long to try to get in contact with them.

Call me crazy, but the bosy style of these remind me of the last gen Honda Preludes. The extension of the nose and the design of the tail, especially the lights. That may be blasphemous to the Quattroporte, but that's just what comes to mind when I see them.

Looks great Dave !!!

Have you used CQUK as well? I am wondering how CQUK compares to the looks and slickness of Finest...

WOWZERS!! Great job!!
Thank you!
Nice job Dave!

I like your new website too :rockon
Thanks man! Our website is in the process of a redesign. I can't wait until it goes live!
Those indoor garage shots look insane!!! Very deep and crisp reflections.

Great job as always Dave!
Thanks so much Marc! I finally have the garage looking better so I'm not embarrassed to take inside shots now...lol

Thanks man, the color is amazing! It's funny, I would have never made the connection to the Prelude myself, but after mention it, it does have similar features. I'm sure a Maserati owner would hate to hear that, but I do agree with you. Also the paint finish on this car was amazing. Very little orange peel, and no true defects other than swirls.
Very nice. Did you put on a suit and take a ride around the block afterwards? I woulda, LOL.
Thanks, I didn't put a suit on, but I certainly felt more important than I am when I drove it back to the customer! lol
Wow is that a nice dark red! Definitely a different color that looks great!
Thanks! I would love to work on this color again soon!

Thanks Troy! My order of CQUK will actually be in my hands tomorrow. After talking with Corey about it, I will try it out, and hopefully be making it standard on all my correction details, with the option to upgrade to Finest for an additional price.
Beautiful work!!
Thank you!
