BMW 750LI Correction - TLC Auto Detail

Hi guys. We have a quick one today. We were contacted to come take a look at a 2006 750li that was in need of a detail. At first the owner just wanted a wash and wax, but after showing him what we could do with a correction detail, he was sold.

When we got it back to our place we started with the normal wash and decon step, including Iron X and a Car Pro clay block. Once that paint was clean and free of any contaminants, we were able to see the true condition.

As you can see there are tons of swirls, some of which are very deep. We went with a two step approach to get the paint looking near perfect. We started with Menzerna FG400 on an MF pad, and finished off with Menzerna SF4000 on a green BS pad. Here is how it looked after we were finished.

As you can see, we were able to achieve about 85%-90% correction, with only the deepest RIDS left behind.

We also addressed the engine bay, which hand't seen a proper detail in quite some time.

We ended up using $ Star Paint sealant for our LSP. After cleaning the glass, dressing the trim, and dressing the tires, here is how it all turned out. Sorry in advance for the dark pics, we worked on this car until after 8PM, so we used all the light we had at this point for pics.

Thanks for checking out our write up. We appreciate your feedback!

Thanks! Yes we dressed the engine bay with Sonus. Great product!

How'd you use the MF pad with FG400?
