First I am going to start with my thoughts and conclude with various pics and comments.

First Impression: WOW! This thing is heavy duty, the handle is a non-slip rubber and is thick enough for me to grab without it slipping. One thing that bummed me out was that it did not bend like the Jr. But that’s ok this brush is not to substitute for anything but is a compliment to my wheel woolies and Daytona jr. When I first saw this brush it I knew it was perfect for my wifes CRV and my old skool Acura due to the huge open spokes.

I will continue to comment with the pictures of my review and thoughts. This was used on 2 vehicles this past Saturday. I drove down to FL to trade in my wifes car so I got a chance to clean my mom’s expedition. I last washed this in October when I did this review http://www.autopiaforums.com/forums/detailing-product-reviews/40725-review-blackfire-rapidfire.html
The other car was my wifes Honda CRV before trading it in.

First the expedition
It was raining as I was doing this so I focused on one rim.

Sprayed the rim down with TRIX

So I started to use the Daytona, ….well the rotors are huge on the expedition so I could not get the brush through to the barrels had to bring out my JR. Even with limited usage on the expedition I do wish the new Daytona had some sort of guard that would prevent splash back.

I sprayed the expeditions wheels down with APC and continued the job

And done.. The tires are still wet and not dressed. They got another wash after the rain stopped.

Even in the rain I had to get the CRV done quick and this is where the Daytona shined. It was great for the wide open spokes of the CRV, but again I do wish there was something for the splash back. I even slowed down and took the brush out in a turning motion.

The opening

Quick Final Thoughts: This brush is a great addition to my collection, the build quality is bullet proof and should last you years and years. It works great on my Acura and should on all other wheels with big openings. I do wish it had some sort of shield for the splash back even something small like the jr, but I will continue to play with it to see if I can find a better method. This brush along with the angled wheel woolies makes a great team to get the rims nice and clean.

Enjoy and feel free to ask questions.

Great review. I've got the woolies 3 pack and the jr. as well and agree that each one works differently on each rim type. I'll either be adding this or the full size Daytona onto my next order.

great review. sad part is, it should have been made like this from the get go. i have the JR. and love it. i dont bend it, so i never had issues YET. guess the JR. size is to follow with the new design?

Nice review.

I love my Original Speed Master brush. I will most likely be picking one of these up in the new future as well.

Thanks for the write up. This will be perfect for my rides when my current Daytona breaks. It's interesting, I haven't had the splash back issues that so many experience.

Great review as always! Still debating though if I really need this personally, I am sure many others need it though! I love my Mothers brushes so much, can't ever think of using anything else.

I think you need both types of brushes. I like the wheel woolies on barrels but use other brushes or microfiber pads on wheels and tires.

I have the prior style Daytona but just to watch out for splatter but they clean much easier than the wheel woolies (if you want to clean them).

Biggest issue is the splash back like you mentioned, I will have to check out the woolies one day.

I will countinue to play with it, I am sure there is a method to get the job done splash free

Its good to have because it does speed up the job on backed on brake dust and larger wheels.

Correct they complement each other well.

+1 on the mothers wheel brush. :bigups
Yeah I love it. For me the reach is perfect! And it can take a beating!

I am interested in the wheel woolies. I am placing an order this weekend so I'll add them! Try them out.

If my mothers brushes ever die, I'll for sure check this out. Or maybe I'll try the other versions first, worth a shot I guess. If I don't like it someone here can take it off my hands? :rockon
