Finished with 105- Micro-marring

I just went over my truck which was in terrible shape using a 3401 and Meg's 105. It cleaned up all the scratches and swirls really well. I've been working in the garage with fluorescent and halogen lights and it looked really nice but the sun showed the micro-marring. I'm in the learning process so I kind of expected this.

Will the 205 and LC white pad take these out. It's hard to imagine what this 12 yr. old white truck looked like when I started; it's closer but I'm not quite there yet.

Any suggestions on product, pad and Flex speed would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
BTW I love this forum.

M205 and a white or even black pad should do the trick.

On the 3401 I would start around speed 3. Sometimes I will go up to 5 if needed or down lower to finish out on 1or 2

^ Agreed! IMHO M205 is made to follow M105

If you want to add even more clarity and gloss you can follow M205 with PO85rd

Thanks for the help. I need to come up with some lighting that shows the micro scratches. Halogen worked for the major correction but I'm just not picking the fine stuff with it.
Thanks again

What color is your truck? With some lighter colors its hard to see minor defects.

Also, M105 is an aggressive compound so some micro-marring is to be expected.

Todd, it is white. In the garage with halogens it looks smooth as silk.
Would a Brinkman show these mirror scratches?

I use 3 lights, DIY sun gun, Brinkmann Xenon and if possible....sun shot.

Xenon usually shows micro marring of M105.

M105 needs follow up, usually does not finish LSP ready.

M205 with a white pad then follow up with a black pad. Always check your work during this process and when done it is time for a IPA wipe down and a lite wash to ensure your sealant or wax has a clean surface.
