Horse Hair Brush Continually Lint?

Just used the interior horsehair brush for the first time sold on autopia for $10. It got hair all over the place! Do they continue to lint forever, or do they stop after a bit?

I have one and I haven't had it shed too bad. On occasion it will lose a hair or two but that's it. Before I started using it I flexed it around and brushed it against my hands. That probably helps remove any loose hairs it had
