IPA wipe down or not

After polishing with BF Gloss Enhancing Polish, should I do an IPA wipe down to remove any oils that might be left behind before applying the sealant?

I started doing a wipedown with BF waterless wash nowadays. But after BFGEP you shouldn't need a IPA wipe down.

bfgep does have some filling ability and i believe the ipa wipe down would probably strip them away. i use bfgep a lot and have never had a problem sealing directly over the gep with a good mf wipe down. i primarily use bfwd as my sealant of choice.

When you say the sealant I am assuming your meaning BF sealant. If so then no, they have the same polymer make up. But as a respected person on the sister site has said when asked the same question "I've never came out the next morning and found my sealant laying on the floor around my car because I didn't do a IPA wipedown before applying it".

I have read your post three times this morning and am still laughing! What a great way to answer the3 question. Thanks and have a good day

I retract my earlier comment, and answer directly.

Answer is No, you do not need to do IPA wipe down.

With GEP you definitely do not need to a wipe down. However, as noted, GEP can fill, but does very little correction. If you are trying to achieve a swirl free finish, this should be accomplished prior to applying GEP.
