I work out of my garage and mobile. I try to keep the longer multi day details based onsite at my place so I can maximize time spent with it. I do like performing mobile details as well, but as others have said, it is definitely a double edged sword. Especially when clients locations are less then optimal for detailing. Lack of good lighting, way to many crud dropping trees, or no shade and no cover at all. It really is different every day.
 
We detail out of a shop and run a mobil unit complete with water & electric. Oct. is our 1st year anniversary and it's funny because tomorrow will be our 1st mobil gig and it's cleaning the interior of combine & tractor cabs. Wish us luck! Those suckers have a lot of glass.
Business started slow but since June we have had 2 to 3 cars a day and most for full details.
Just goes to show that experience, excellent work and word of mouth pay off.

We are 100% mobile and love it, being able to go anywhere to get a job done. It can be Challenging sometimes here in Florida with rain and extreme heat. But we love being out doors... Especially making $$$$$$
