Blackfire needs to seriously re-look at their tire shine "spray"...

It gives a very nice matte appearance. One of the few that does that. However, a "spray"? Are you kidding me?! It shoots a stream!! Very hard to coat an applicator with a stream. The viscosity definitely needs to be thinned out big time! For the heck of it, I took a little bit and had to dilute it 4:1 to become remotely sprayable!

Wonder if it's like Optimum tire shine? I like the look but the thick stream isn't so user friendly.

I don't use the spray, I save the sprayer and just pour some out on my MF applicator and apply it.

If the product has a sprayer like with Mothers Reflections Tire Care, I spray applicator then apply to tire.

I spray it onto the applicator either way, always seems to get a better coating that way. Use less product as well.

Instead of spraying it "onto" your tire or applicator, press the actual nozzle against the applicator and lightly spray. This will saturate the applicator just enough so you get a thin, even coat when you swipe the applicator on the tire. And because the nozzle is spraying directly into the applicator, you won't have to fuss with any accidental over spray.

Or ditch the sprayer all together and put a flip top cap on. Sounds like its being used for nothing more than a bottle cap anyway.

With the enter BLACKFIRE line we aimed to offer awesome performance at a great value. As you noted, we could dilute the product with 4 parts water, cut our cost immessuarbly, and still out perform most tire dressings on the market! But that wouldn't live up to our goal of offering you the best value possible.

Exactly. Some people prefer the convience of a trigger spray application, but this is a product that is designed to be applied to an applicator, then to the tire for best results. The Stig has this one nailed.

Although I personally wouldn't mind a finer spray that did atomize, BUT only for the smell. I would spray it on everything including my dog, it smells that great! :rockon

I really like the look it gives. I'll try putting the spray head close to the applicator. Thanks! FWIW, I've never sprayed tire dressings directly onto the tire.

not to digress but has anyone used the "tornado tool" to clean the ribs on tires? did a 62 corvair and a truck recently. my got i have hated ribs and it just blew through it. some people are using virtual air guns to apply dressing. got to check that out too.

I have not used the Toranador to do this but it seems like a great idea!
