Using Adam's Polish Method

ACE

What's that smell?
I've been studying detailing for about 10 years now and I'm always looking for better methods. I notice on Adam's site, he polishes using a more agressive polish and then, without removing the polish, he changes pads and moves to a finishing polish. Obviously, you need to try this on a small section to see if these product/pads yield your desired final result, but my question is - Does anyone else do this? I've always taken off all the polish before moving to another product. I guess that if you've broken down the agressive polish completely, you can go right over it. At least that's the theory.

Who is it that you mention? Reminds of a product a few yrs ago that was out and claims it did that too. After awhile it just die away. But can you go in more detail on how this was done.

If the product has totally broken down it does not matter if you wipe it off or not. I have done it that way when I was finishing a section and could see that the swirls were gone without having to wipe it off.

When doing my truck there is a lot of surface and it takes a lot of time, so saving a little time not doing something that's not needed helps.

Are you certain the swirls were not covered by the oils in the polish? That's one of the reasons you wipe each section, to make certain you are fixing the problem and not hiding it only to find out later they are still there.
