BFWD test results

OK here we go! Don't shoot me!
Got my BFWD last week so it was time to do some comparison and testing.
Polished the Hood and trunk on Black Cadillac DTS so there was no swirls or scratches.
Applied 1/2 trunk with BFWD and the other 1/2 with Colonite 845.
Applied 1/2 hood with BFWD and the other 1/2 with Megs Ultimate Liquid wax.
Results are as follow, All 3 products were easy to apply and wipe off. Not much difference at all.
Shine, clarity, looks, slickness in my opinion was SAME. Nothing visible jumped at me. Durability I don't know yet and the car is in garage most of the time.
Am I doing something wrong?

Not that I can see. I think your end result is the Meguiars is going to be the first one gone followed by the Blackfire. 845 is some really good stuff and has a reputation for durability. There was a test done with it compared to some very expensive waxes and in the end no one could tell any difference.

I haven't used Meg's ultimate wax, but I do use 845 and BFWD. I can tell the difference between their looks. Do they have a different feel(slickness) to you at all?

Thanks,
For me durability is not an issue since it's in garage most of the time anyway. :D
I was expecting little more from BFWD. As I was told before prep is 99.9% of finish work.

I wouldn't be put down by the Blackfire you put it up against a pretty good product. There were waxes in the comparison that were well over a 100.00 a container from what I remember.

CT3 what are you seeing that is different in the looks department? Do you think the BFWD has more of a candy look like a sealant?

I have a bottle of Ult Wax I haven't used yet...but I can tell a diff between the 845 and BFWD. BF is way slicker and shinier. Slight edge in durability to 845 IMO.

hmmmm this could be good not many products will out last the 845 except for maybe duragloss.

I just started a tin of FK 1000p. I am having good results so far. I am hoping this wax outlasts 845.

But back to the BFWD, I haven't seen a sealant with better looks and durability together.

Some sealants and waxes tend to darken the paint more then others, are you seeing any of this?
Just goes to show that 845 is an awesome product @ less then 20.00 its hard to bet in looks and durability.

You don't happen to post on MOL do you? I think I saw you over there last night.

Thought so I went over there a few minutes ago to see if I was thinking straight but they are down right now.
