Check this out, be prepared, it could make many of you SICK, but be patient, and watch the entire video - the guy is awesome:

This is why you don't let dealerships touch your car. They hired the guy and I just can't imagine ever using a blade that close to the paint and to just scrape around like that.

How about these?

ScrapeRite Plastic Razor Blades

Anyone use these on paint? Isn't this the point of these? Curious, I get the razor thing, that guy is nuts. Catch an edge and you are screwed.

I use plastic razor blades on paint all of the time. Plastic wont do what hes doing though. Its really dangerous to use a steel blade. There is no way hes not scratching the paint. All of the glaze he uses with his wool pad fills it in pretty good, Im sure.

I was just trying to be entertaining. I didnt put that clip in to slam Jeff Suggs. I do not agree with the way he does things, but he apparently pleases his clients. Seems like he stays pretty busy.

I don't see that you were slamming anyone. The clip with the blade is a different post.

I agree there has to be marring on the paint. In, out, done! That is the key to the volume jobbers. He is quick and the client is happy, so why not.

I see all the curves on the beemer and think of digging an edge. Yikes! I won't do it. I may pick up some of the plastic ones though. I have other plastic edges I use but not the blades.

The plastic blades are a must have IMO. You should pick some up. They really come in handy, especially for removing decals.

Probably a good thing there was an insurance company involved. I bet that was a big bill at the end of the day. Awesome job once again Mr. Dean

I laughed pretty hard at the razor blade section as well! So please tell us Garry, did you use a rotary and wool pad on the plastic trim too? Great job though, turned out awesome!

Nice work Garry! ROTFLMAO @ 2:25!!! :D

Thanks Chad. Im glad you found it entertaining. :rockon

A wool pad and a rotary are my standard equipment for all jobs, even interiors! :yay :rofl

Huh? There was no insurance company involved here. He paid out of pocket.

Wow that one had to hurt! But what are you going to do it has to be fixed. Or at least in my mind it would have, but seeing some of the stuff on here we do not everyone feels that way. Lucky for you(sort of) Gary he did too.
