Opticoat on wheel barrels

yeah, it works fine for what it is but I'd probably get woolies if I had to do it over again...

I would love to have some wheel wollies too, but man they are expensive. The GG ones look very similar but are quite a bit cheaper.

A lot of people have but Optimum suggest you don't at least on the windshield. I wonder if their not doing that to cover themselves for liabilty reasons though.

It sounds like it, I mean I don't know why they would tell you you can put it on all windows except the front

I have seen threads where guy have used in on window with good success. I think the deal is that it just isn't designed for glass so Optimum can's predict how it will bond to glass.

I think I put some on one of the windows of the jeep I did for my buddy. It's been 4 months and we can't remember which window we coated. He says the glass all looks the same and one is definitely not cleaner than the others...

I'm assuming the purpose of coating glass is the same as for coating paint: dirt shedding, increase resistance to scratching, etc.

I would be more concerned over it causing wiper chatter and then trying to get it off.

That's something I didn't think about. Since its really not a slick finish that it gives you I wonder if it would cause the blades to catch skip over the glass

stickers? you mean wheel weights on the barrels?

I think once the OC is cured, it is bonded to the surface so wheel weights should adhere with no problem.

I didn't even think of that haha but I was talking about the logo stickers on the spokes! Didn't really expect it to have an ill effect, but you can never be too careful
