Mr. Todd Helme???

With a rotary, I've had issues with 106FF, 106FA, and 85rd finishing out well on soft paints. But again, that's with a rotary. A lot of guys say that 106FA and 85rd finish out well on soft paint with a DA, but I've never tried it.

I love 85RD on the DA with a black pad. Done it a few times with the rotary, but prefer the DA for some reason.

Have you tried it with a Crimson pad on the DA? It works great too:cool:

You guys getting good results with 85rd/DA on soft paints?

I'm currently working on a co-workers Porsche Boxster (soft paint). Process so far is 105/DA, 205/DA. For the final step, I was going to finish up with rotary and either Ultrafina or FPII, as those are tried-and-true finishers on soft paint. Curious about 85rd/DA on soft paint, but not curious enough to try it without hearing other's experiences with it first. :)

Crimson HydroTech pads arrive tomorrow.

I have had nothing but amazing results with a 85RD/DA on Porsche paint. I know David F and I both prefer using white pads on Porsche paint (as opposed to a softer finishing foam) and it works really well.

Hope all is well Sup!!!!

Thanks, Todd, was great to finally meet ya at SEMA! Hopefully next year I'll get a chance to buy you a beer or three.
