Hi There...

The purpose of today's detail was to try something different on the Mazda to see if we get it to look a little wetter.

Equipment

GG6 LC CCS 6.6" White Pad
GG3 GG 3" Orange Pad
Cobra Ultimate Guzzler Waffle Weave
The Cookie Monster Buffing Towel V2.0
The Thief XXX Glass Towel
EZ Detail Brush Mini
Lots of other MF Towels

Products

Meguiar's Hot Rims Wheel Cleaner
Meguiar's Utilmate Wash & Wax
SONAX Nano Paint Cleaner
SONAX Premium Class Carnauba Wax
CarPro PERL 1:1

This was my first time trying the 2 SONAX product. I must say it was very hard to work with the SONAX Nano Paint Cleaner. The stuff is not much thicker then milk and the tip on the bottle is awful. It's too long and the bottle is tipsy, so you have to be careful. But the product does a good job. It leaves the paint very clean and with a very nice shine.

Applying the wax was simple and just like any other Carnauba paste wax. It went on easy and removed very easy. The end result were great. Those 2 product work very well together and on this white car it did an excellent job. I didn't really like the applicator that came with the wax. I have very large hands and it was a bit small to work with.

Here are some after shots. I didn't take any before since I had just detailed the car the first week in August and it was still in great shape.

Temperature

Sunny and no clouds
Temp at start: 16.8 C. (62.2 F.)
Temp at finish: 15.7 C. (78.3 F.)

Thanks for looking...

Looks great, thanks for sharing with us.

Thanks Zoom Zoom Mazda5...

Great job, that's a very tough color to show results on, but it looks fantastic!

Thanks. I think I found a good combination that seems to work for this white.

+1. While looks amazing on the Mazda 3 hatchbacks, and yours looks beyond stunning! Great work! :D

Thanks Todd. The fall colors really help to get some reflections into the white.

Very nice! Love the white on the MSP 3.

The SONAX paint cleaner is one of my favorite products. I agree, its a bit thin, but does such a fantastic job!

Great work. I recently just got Sonax Paint Cleaner and really need to give it a shot. Everyone keeps saying it's a great product.

This is just a longevity update on the Sonax treament. It's been 5 month nearly to the day since I did this treatment. Today was the first very nice day that felt like spring was really here. The temp was at 60.6 and very sunny. I gave the car the usual winter treatment of a wash using DP Rinseless Wash & Gloss and because it was such a nice day it gave me a chance to really examine the finish. I have to say that the Sonax stayed on very good. I don't think I have ever used a wax that stay on this good for this long through the winter months.
