Good job Shawn. That driver side mat cleaned up really well. I expected for it to have at least a little staining.

There are not many vette's in Blue. It looks like M151 cleaned it up nicely. I would not have expected that given the notoriety of vette paint.

The DP Wheel Gel looks glossy. Is that normal? It is liked by many but never really noticed it on other details.

From the before photos I suspect this champion is a daily driver. Not that there's anything wrong driving such a legend but I would think one would take much better care of a $65,000 + automobile.

Shawn,

You have skilfully restored this mess to it's rightful place. The before and after photos really illustrate the level of effort and detail undertaken to really make this car sparkle.

Awesome work as always. :bigups

$65K+? Where are you buying 'vettes from? A base coupe like that is under $50K on the sticker....

Either way I agree, it's a serious infraction to treat a Corvette like that no matter if it's a daily driver or otherwise.

That is megs hyper dressing 1:1 on the tires wheel gel is the old name for there wheel cleaner

It amazes me how many people have very expensive cars and don't care for them. I see $100K+ cars that have never been detailed. For these guys the money they spend on those cars is the same as the rest of us buying a used Corolla.

Worse than that, though, IMO is the people who have cars they love and won't trust anyone else to touch, but they have no real idea what they are doing, so wind up doing more harm than good.

I recently started a detail on a '93 ZR-1 in black with only 8K mi. The owner saw my work on another black car and decided I could do a better job than he could. In his other garage he showed me the damage he had done to his '67 Shelby 350 Cobra.:inspector: He had gone through the paint on the A pillar. :yikes: The car is mechanically all original, but had been repainted. He had to learn the hard way.

For some it's just a car. I had a friend that wanted a Cette so bad but once he got it he said it was just another car. He loved it but in the end it was still a car.

I love my cars regardless of what they are. I'm a car guy (I assume most of us are here) so we look at these expensive cars and wonder how can someone treat them that way. For a lot of people that own them though it's just a status symbol and will sell it for something new soon enough
