Full detail on my car! and not happy

Relax ... take a breath and then get a clean soft cotton cloth or towel and either the Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner or the Polish or the Mother's Pre Wax cleaner and gently rub back and forth over a small area that is bad. Do this a couple times if needed. If this looks good proceed to do the rest of the car.
If this doesn't work go to a local body shop supply place and purchase a Meguiars Softbuff polishing pad (part #W-1000). And try the same products with the rotary buffer. this pad already has a backing plate and you screw it directly on the buffer. I use them often and they work great.
Once again start out on just a small area until you get a process down ... good luck!

Okay it was a rotary - so that dial with the numbers on it is the speed control dial - basicially it limits the RPMS via the trigger when you run the rotory - so you had it set at 2 right ?

looks like this -

1 = 500 rpm
2 = 1000 rpm
3 = 1500 rpm
4 = 2000 rpm
5 = 2500 rpm
6 = 3000 rpm

So it sounds like you were not going above 1000 RPM on the rotary with the wool pad - that's good news too - I'm sure it can be corrected no problem.

Im in Bergen County New Jersey. I know I have seen someone on here that does sell some of his cars out of Saddle river NJ which is actually where I work.

I think you maybe in luck.
If I'm not mistaken that is in Clean Dean territory.
Maybe he could help you out!!!!!!!!

Somebody shine the batlight over Gothem and call out Clean Dean!!!!!!!
We need you!!!!!!!

Good news guys....

I got home today and 2 good things happend ... My sequetial tail lights arivied

So i backed my car up to the garage and put the back end of the car inside dryed off the car (due to the rain) and used some Megs pre wax cleaner.

I only worked a small area but it goes away really easy. :)

So tommrow is suposed to be nice out. When I get home I will be doing the whole car with the Pre Wax cleaner.

What do you guys recomend I do after that? im obviously not going to be touching a rotory or any other type of machine.

follow up with the polish and then the wax -the Deep Crystal Polish is pretty much on par with Show Car Glaze but a whole lot easier to remove

Thanks again for all the help. I really do appreciate it as you can see from the pic earlier that this is truely my baby.

I would still love to meet up with cleandean and perhaps have him evaluate my car. Perhaps give me some tips on tecnique and such. Im sure he could teach me a thing or 2

What products did you use the rotary to apply?

Try using the rotary only for products that are made for its application and a DA for the final two steps, glazes and waxes Even some polishes can be applied with a DA. I find this way I actually enjoy the detail more.

Thanks for the tips ryan but I think im going to be staying away from any power tools for the time being. Or atleast get some good lessons from an avid user.

I would love to just beable to watch a pro at work and beable to ask questions while watching.

Kind of what Meguiars does at there classes ....
