Product Review: PB Trim Restorer

I have used Poorboy's World Trim Restorer for about two years now. After trying Black WOW I thought it only appropriate to "test" PBTR as well and see which one works best for me. As you will be able to see from the before pictures PBTR makes a huge diffenece in the look of my trim. I washed the car and dried everything using my Blue Waffle Weave Drying Towel. I scrubbed the cowl & mirror trim using an APC mixture to make sure I strip off all of the previous dress and to get the true 50/50 difference. I then applied the Trim Restorer to an applicator and applied it to the trim. After about an hour I can back and buffed it off using a cotton towel. (I was told by Steve @ PB to use cotton towels because if you get PBTR in a microfiber towel you may not get it out.)

Conclusion:
PBTR makes a large difference in the look of my trim. A little definitely goes a long way. It went on very easy and doesn't feel greasy. As far as durability goes I usually reapply every 2-3 weeks but for me thats fine. I'll try and keep this updated.

PBTR is a world class product for sure! I've used it countless times at my dealership with a APC to restore wax covered trim from customers cars!

You can never have enough of PBTR!

I did apply it in the evening and took the pics in my garage. I can get some better pics in the daylight.

PBTR is a great product. I have used it on the black plastic of my truck also with great results.

That's a great 50/50 shot, Mister B! One might not believe that the trim area on the left could look like the one on the right. Did you use anything to clean the trim before treating it?

Thanks. Yes I cleaned the plastic with Meguiar's #39 Heavy Duty Vinyl Cleaner before treating the plastic with Poorboy's Trim Restorer. The area on the left is already cleaned and awaiting application of the trim restorer. The plastic was really faded, but PBTR did a great job at restoring the black color.

what a contrast. I have a friend who just bought a Ford F150 form the auction. All the trim is covered with wax and I know he would like it to look the way your truck looks. So vinyl cleaner first then trim restorer? Also Should he use microfiber or cotton? I think I read you say that trim restorer may not come off microfiber towel.

Scrub with APC to get old wax off with a bristle brush and than put TR on and let sit and buff off with cotton becasue the Microfiber will absorb to much out of the plastic (P.S. - The TR will come out of the microfiber he said used cotton becasue of the above :bigups)
