Applying EX or EX-P with a PC?

Anyone doing this with a PC and if so what kind of pad and speed are you using?


What are the benefits of doing so?
 
What Steve said. That's the only way I apply it anymore. It saves so much time and IMO does a much more thorough job of getting the sealant where it needs to go. Comes off with a simple wipe instead of having to rub it off.

If you have to rub it off when applying by hand that is a sure sign that you are putting it on too heavy.

I prefer to do it by hand because I think I have better control of how much is going on.
PC is defiantly faster but I'm not so sure about better.

I applied my LSP by hand for 50 years before I bought a PC probably won't ever change. :D
 
I use my pc to apply almost all of my lsp's now...I find it makes an even thin coat and covers everything.

A lot of sealants that I have tried will go on rather smoothly by hand but PB EX-P is one that no matter how I try to apply it it gets gummy like in certain spots and I can't get it thin enough with the applicator either dampened or dry. The PC is a Must IMO for the use of EX-P because I can get it nice and thin. I love the look of EX-P over the other sealants that I have tried so I will do whatever makes it easier to apply. To me it's just worth it.
 
Again, if you stick around and pay attention you can learn something new. Have used both EX and EX-P for years and always applied by hand. Now I read I've been doing it wrong all this time. ;) I guess I'll have to break down and buy some finishing pads and test out this revelation. :D
 
I always apply my EX with the PC on 1 or 2. Goes on easy, comes off easy. Then I top it with my Natty's and the shine is beautiful.

I need to grab a few shots of my truck. I just re-did it all this weekend as I was going to a car cruise Saturday night and she'll be in a car show next weekend as well.

It looks great, especially in the sun.

EX and Natty's are like a Corona and a tropical beach...they just go together and make me happy.:bigups

Is an microfiber applicator pad good enough to apply way?

Then why not use it on a DA (duel action) on 1,2,or 3 it sticks well to the Velcro, less expensive to replace and cleaning is non existent just toss-em what I do watch for is what I call "Tiger stripping" where the edges of the pads running low on LSP.

You're and this method the reason I bought the smaller backing plate for my pc
