New Normal
A few months ago I was lucky enough to get the first box sent out by Steve when he started selling sample boxes.

Yesterday, I purchased a new 2010 Chevy Silverado regular cab pickup. I am going to use my sample kit #6 with the knowledge that the products are going to do what I need and it will look good when I am done.

Pictures will be taken but I have not posted pictures for so long I am not sure how to do it on my apple computer. Hopefully I will figure out how to post pictures after the detail today. I am not sure if I have enough strength to do it in one day but will continue posting until it is done.

It is nice to have a truck again!!!

2010 cheapo Chevy two door regular cab small engine V8 without any electrcal dodahs. I am going to miss electronic door locks and windows but can live without them due to the cost of the truck is so much less. IT also means less things to go wrong. Now my son is happy to have the HHR(remember the one that I hate) and I am happy to be able to move my mower, garden tiller and yard vacuum any time I want. I have not been able to do that for two years.

I will post pictures with the detail thread at a later time. Just glad to be back to driving a truck!!

Congrats

Man I'm jealous, that's what I am looking for!

if you start to miss the auto door locks that can be installed for about 100 bucks at any good auto stereo place

I think the new chevy truck frame has made it the best riding and driving truck i have ever owned, congrats sir....... looking forward to your pics.

Congratulations on the new truck ever man should own a truck.
Now get that sucker nice and glossy and post some photos.. :D

cwcad, Congratulations on the truck! I seem to recall you've been on the prowl almost since you traded off your old one. I guess you finally just gave up on getting a similar body style to your old truck.

... Now my son is happy to have the HHR...
That caught my eye...don't tell me that "Little Detailer" has reached driving age!

Shhhh...don't say that too loud, those Apple guys will be after you. They would have you believing that Apple is so intuitive that it practically does it all itself...:D ;)

WEll it wasn't immediately but it sure has been since the first time I wanted to haul something that is for sure.

No Little Detailer is not old enough to drive...yet. IT is my son, Jonathan, who is graduating from high school this year that is happy. He thinks an HHR SS is real cool. Even if it is two years old already. He is the only one in his class that is driving an SS model. IT will be nice for him when he goes to college next fall.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes. It is appreciated alot from this end. Hopefully my energy level has returned to a level that will allow the work needed to keep this clean and shiny as the old black truck.

I will honestly try to post pictures at a later time. Once the initial detail is complete. I think the sample pack is all I will need with Super Slick & Suds was, ProPlish, Blackhole. I think I have some good detailing clay that I have been saving for a special occassion.

Man I just realized that I need to get 5 gallons of S&W as well.:D

Whew!!! You had me worried there. I mean I know time flies and all that...but that would have been like some kind of time warp! :)

That would be best expressed, only two years old. What's not to be happy about?! :D It's probably also the cleanest on the lot. ;)

:yay:yay:yay Congratulations!! I wish you many safe & happy miles!! I am so glad you're behind the wheel of a REAL truck again!! :bigups

Thank you!! I am slowly planning some upgrades with running boards and mudflaps and windows. Beemerboy inticed me a little with a suggestion on the electronic windows. I think I am going to do that as well.

Honestly, I will post as soon as I can figure out how to get it off and on of my apple computer.

LD is as happy as I am.
