Premium Detailed. Lots of randomness.

lol

B) your not reflowing anything by what you described, your leveling the clear by using compound and polish....just like every other method described on here

My thoughts exactly. Nothing more than most on this board do. It's smoke and mirrors or a sales pitch used to trick customers to think he's better than someone else.

Many on here have far more experience than I do so I'll be brief and just restate that what this "method" or "technique" is doing is NOT re-flowing anything. What's happening is clear coat is being leveled down to the scratch itself thus appearing to be "re-flowed".

If anyone still disagrees then ask yourself a logical question.

If clear coat is "clear" how can it, again being CLEAR, fill any scratch?

Remember clear coat has no pigment to it thus a scratch on a black car will remain a scratch no matter how much clear you "flow" into it. Now if a scratch is not down to primer and one is able to correct it it's because they leveled the paint not because the clear was "re-flowed". If a scratch is down to the primer then again no amount of clear being flowed into it by a buffing process will hide it, why? Because it needs to be 1) filled in and 2) filled in with a pigmented paint. Not a CLEAR non-pigmented paint.

Geez......sorry to the OP for the thread hi-jack.

it's not that I believe or dis believe, it works on SOME SCRATCHES NOT ALL !!!!
DOES it make it 100% fixed ! but it's better than repainting . Sometimes you guys are a little too extreme. Detailing is about making the customer happy..and where it doesn't cost t hem a arm and a leg to satisfy their anal anxiety's.

I n most cases people are happy with a 85% improvement of their problem. This is one of those Techniques. NO MORE NO LESS..................Can we move on ?

i dont think your understanding what were saying....your not "reflowing" the paint, but i guess we will just leave it at that.

I guess you didn't read my post from yesterday........as I said I guess my term and your term are two different things..............Let's just call it paint leveling.

It's evident some of oyu are more ANAL than me and that's scary ! lol

You all should be sorry. I gave up on arguing with that "know it all" days ago.
