Any tips for skipping windshield wipers

G.T.Subie

I have issues
I got a new driver side wiper and it still skips.

I have rain X on the windshield but never had issues with the Rain X before.

I use to have to same problem... I would clean the windshield with lime away (be very careful not to get it on the trim) let sit for 5 min max!) clay, buff with M105 or you could look into a glass polish system. I would then invest in some PIAA PIAA Wipers which come with their own silicon type of treatment to prevent blade hopping. Please be very careful with the lime away for it could be more harm then good if you let it come into contact with anything but the glass!!! If you want to be on the safe side you can skip the lime away and just clay and buff with M105 or buy the glass polish kits. But I highly recomend the PIAA blades! Good luck...

I recently attempted to fix a skipping wiper problem with 303 Wiper Treatment applicator packets. I honestly cannot recommend this product. I've had great results with 303 stuff, but not these things.

I had that problem with rainx years ago.
Never used it again.

Try using your windshield washer stuff. Short lived, but it helps.

Thanks guys.

I'll give the polish a try.

I don't have any options but valeo wipers, thanks to Audi engineers.

Bon AmI cheap effective and can do no harm if you get it on the paint just flush with water.
What you need is a clean windshield trash the rainX

All right you haters I'll stop my rainX use and I'm going to polish it today. Supposed to rain and I have to take a 40 mile drive so I'll have decent test.

Well if ya don't polish it, you can have chatter all the way there and back.

It helps if you are trying to drown out a noisy spouse or kids. :notme: :rofl :yikes:
