My friends car has some stickers on it and I was wondering what is a generic way to removing them. Goo Gone then just buff out the grime or so there any other ways.

Thanks so much.

Russ...if they are on windows use a razor blade to scrape off...On paint...a hair dryer will heat up the corners so that you can start to peel them back...then some Goo Gone on a cotton rag that you will throw out after will take the rest of the glue adhesive off.,,the rag will get clogged up with the adhesive that's why you want one you will throw out after.

Polish up with a paint cleaner or PB PP would be the next choice for me

Depends on what type of stickers they are.

Political stickers must stay !! SO you can show the world how smart or stupid the owner is.

Aside for political stickers the method BeemerBoy stated above works well. Be forewarned it does take time, so dont try to rush it.

Now that's just funny. :) We have a pretty fair sized segment of voters still sporting stickers from the '04 elections. I can tell right off that they are "outsiders" because we Texans know that it is now 2009 and the stickers are irrevelant. :D

If wife frowns on using her spatula for sticker removal then check a body shop or detailer supplier for plastic razor blades. Gives a little piece of mind around painted surfaces

Others here have said before what I will say and have used with no problems.

A heat gun, or hair dryer,Start a corner and slowly peel the sticker.Razor blade on glass and clean with your favorite glass cleaner. Then some of your favorite adhesive remover (ON PAINTED SURFACE). Just make sure its not a paint stripper.

Very easy fix,good as new...:D

Paul,

I was referring to the spatula's used on wallboard, etc.

I've been painting for 30 years, and have never used a razor on glass. Unless it's thoroughly lubricated.

Guess what else removes stickers safely? Any quality bug wash.

I can tell you that foir the sticky residue left behind..I used a degreaser like Space 9 and it kicked arse
