Rasky's Auto Detailing
Owner bought this car used and wanted a complete detail with a little extra special attention. ;)

Paint condition was very hard to capture and the pics do not show the true condition. The finish was actually worse than what you see. There was a lot of rail dust too on the tops that I could not capture with the camera.

Etching in the clear that was easily removed with M105

A few scuffs were visible on the car like this

Small mark on the passengers seat.
IMG_0632.jpg

The only real trouble area on the interior was in the back seat under the floor matt. I doubt the owner even knew it was there.

Wheels were removed to properly clean and protect the inner side of them. Since I had the wheels off I went over the wheel wells with a little more detail than usual.

Chrome on the wheels was clean with M105 and sealed with KAIO. I'd also made sure to torque the wheels to factory specs when I reinstalled them.

My process for the correction was M105 Via the Flex 3401 on a Meguiar’s W7207 foam pad. I followed that up with M205 via the rotary with a Meguiar’s W9207 foam pad. A few RIDS remained but they are very hard to see given the color. My LSP was Wolfgang DGPS (x2).

After: (Sorry it was cloudy with off and on rain…I’ll get sun shots tomorrow)

Door jambs were cleaned with APC and then polished by hand with KAIO. Weather stripping was protected with Meguiar’s M40

A little dust on the wheels from pulling the car around…I touched that up. ;)
IMG_0685.jpg

Interior carpet was done using APC, Bissell LGM, Folex, Carpet brush, and a shop vac.
Leather was clean with Leather Masters Strong Cleaner and then protected with Leather Masters Protection Cream
Vinyl, dash, and trim was clean with Meguiar’s QID

Yep! I actually did the wheels by hand though.

Oh lol,I couldn't imagine doing a set of wheels with a cordless.I built a fence this weekend and kept having to switch batteries:wall

Did you polish all those little bolt looking things?

Heck no! LOL, the owner actually didn't even request me to take the wheels off. I just felt it was the best way to get them cleaned. I sprayed them down with P21S wheel gel and agitated them with a brush to get them all clean. After that I polished as close to them as I could...I went through about 5 sets of gloves because I kept banging my hands into the bolts! :wall

Very nice.
But we all know that I'm not partial to BMW's. :lmfao

Thank you! I love BMW's too...and maybe after my girl is done with law school I can have one! :D

That is one sexy car, even more so after it was done.

The wheels really do make this car! Plus I think he said it has on the M6 kit.

Like all the others said "flawless work"!;)

Thank you!

Why did you take off the wheels?

I know that once they are off you can clean all kinds of areas and seal the backs, just wondering why?

I wasn't happy with the way they looked after the initial cleaning. There were also several stains from where water had pooled in the wheels. If you look you will see there is a hump in the center that traps water...poor design IMO but I know it's for strength. I also wanted to get some protection on them to help keep the staining from happening and to ease in the cleaning of them on future washes. :bigups

I understand, but is that a normal process for you?

my concern with taking high end wheels off the cars or wheels in general is damage or not getting them back on right and messing something up...those BMW rims are not cheap!

Considering my normal clientele this is not something I usually do as they could care less about the inside of the wheels. Given the open design of these wheels I think it was something that had to be done.

I see where you're coming from but rest assured I'm very mechanically inclined and grew up in a body shop tearing down cars with my father. I have the proper tools to remove and install the wheels. I even called the person who sold and originally installed the wheels (friend of mine) to see if the torque specs were different given the larger size of the wheels. :bigups

Wheels were $4000! :D
