Making a start...

Hi all,

I thought it was high time I made a start with my vehicle, she's a '95 Mitsubishi Pajero (Montero) LWB 2:8TD Exceed, and seeing as we have had a decent dry weekend thought I'd give it a go...

I use Maguiers Deep Crystal Step 1, 2 & 3 Kit and I used an old t-shirt for applying & polishing...

I've only done the Bonnet (hood) so far (I have a slight mobility problem so it takes me a while to do things), although I may not be able to do a full polish on the roof, but will have a go if we get some more nice days (very rare in my part of the world, great if you like rain :) )...

Anyway, here's a couple of picture, first is a before shot...

Also, I have painted up my Summer wheels and got them balanced and fitted yesterday, also painted up the centres as the chrome was looking very tired...

One area that I have always tried to keep clean is the engine bay...

Does it have a sun roof?
I know someone who gets alot of the top by going through the sun roof.

It does, I've just had a Homer moment DOH, I never even thought of using it...:wall

Thank you for that...:bigups

No sweat. Till I saw someone do it, I would have never thought of it myself.

Enjoy the time with your truck. To me, it's my get-a-way time.

Looks like you are off to a good start! Turbocharged, huh? As far as tips, you mentioned that you used an old t-shirt. If you can, pick up some microfiber towels to use instead. They will work better for you.

 If you ever get to the other side of pond (Memphis,Tn.) look up tha flash. I would certainly entrust my vehicle to your care. Tha truck looks AWESOME. Love that "bonet scoop" and brush gaurd. Oh yea, :welcome: to "THA FAMILY" Look forward to seeing you around. P.S. Definetly pick you up some Micro Fiber towels, you will love'm and they are very inexpensive. :dcrules
