Carwash soap on tires!

rabbi

The Whaler Loves Detail City
Since I have so much soap(SuperSlick) left over after washing my car why can't I use this and a tire brush to clean my tires? This way I won't have to bring out another bottle of stuff ( or buy) to do my car. :passout:

who said you couldn't  :hmmm::confused::idea:whaasup:

Im confused, why couldnt you? If the tires are browned or very dirty the soap may not clean them properly, but if they arent bad it will work fine.

I have done that a lot of times but since I always put dressing on the tires after several applications they start to look brown.

I like to use APC solution to clean the tires to start over again.

It certainly seems like it would be worth a try.
Especially since you already have it at hand.
I doubt that a wash product that is gentle enough to not remove wax is going to be strong enough to clean tires. You won't know until you try it. :)

Since you will already have your tire brush in hand, how much trouble would it be to spray some Bold N Bright on the tires and scrub them? Wipe them down after cleaning and you will have clean and dressed tires. I know this will work since It is what I do each wash.

I like all the icons SIR CHARLES. Really reminds me of someone :notme:

No reason why I couldn't or can't I just never read on here where anyone has done that. It's always an apc or a product specifically for tire cleaning.
I'll BnB for the dressing.:passout:

yes :rockon :D it really would depend like said by all three in different ways that it depends on the condition of the tire and wheel as to if a stronger cleaner would be needed. ;)

Do u ever use BnB as a cleaner as well as a dressing?
When sprayed on and scrubbed with a brush tha Bold N Bright does a good job of cleaning as well as being a dressing.

No I haven't used B N B as a tire cleaner.I've always used Westley's. Now that I have used the last of Westley's I was going to use carwash soap for the cleaner as my tires hardly ever get excessively dirty. Then top with B N B .:passout:

Rabbi:
My apologies for trashing your thread with the excess smilies and bad spelling.
It was just a little frustrating for me to find out that even when I have someone on my ignore list, I can still see their posts when someone quotes them. Seems like there is only one way to avoid them.

The Bold N Bright is a good all in one tire cleaner and dressing. Try it, you might like it. :)

I recently tried the "CharlesW" method!:yay

I sprayed each tire, scrubbed with a long handle tire brush, then wiped with a paper shop towel.

I like a little "satin" finish, so I added a little more BB with a tire sponge.....

They turned out great!:howdy
