Rasky's AD: 1998 Lincoln Navigator Extreme Makeover

RaskyR1

Rasky's Auto Detailing
One of my more involved details...

10 years, 4 kids, 3 dogs, 1 horse, a long dirt road, and a vehicle that has never been detailed.

This vehicle belongs to my girls' parents. She was between cars and needed a vehicle, so they let her borrow it. My girl bought a new car a week later and I've had it the last few weeks at my disposal. She wanted to clean it to show her appreciation...I though it made for a good extreme makeover.

Total time invested was about 22 hours.

It was very hard to capture the true condition of the paint but you should get the idea. Some RIDS remained but without a PTG I wasn't going to push it.

Tire/wheel
98_nav_126.JPG

The MN winters combined with the dirt road have taken their toll on the wheel wells. The under coating was weathered and cracked. I figured it was going to get dirty again real soon so left them like this.

Great transformation!
That is what detailing is all about as far as I'm concerned.
No disrespect intended to those that work on the newer cars or those of us that maintain a vehicle on a regular basis, but.....
A vehicle that has been used and more or less neglected for 10 years is a true challenge. A challenge that you handled quite well.:bow
Congratulations on a great job!

Oh, and welcome to DC. :)

Thanks Charles! Nice to see some familiar faces (screen names) here. ;)

Nice to have you on the site. You do good work.
Thanks GearHead! :howdy

Beautiful turnaround
Thank you!

Understatement! Great work as usual, Chad. Must make you cringe thinking about it going back to dirt road duty :(

TL

Thanks again!
I actually saw it the other day and they have kept it up pretty well so far...not that it ever gets driven much now. ;)

Wow...I think I would have dropped dead half way through this detail. Great work and it was nice meeting you this past weekend.
