I am noticing that when I wax black vehicles that I am getting light swirl marks on the finish when done almost like a oily haze thats on the paint what would cause this is it the wax the pads are new drying time etc.

Paint temperature is important. Are you waxing in direct sunlight?

If they are "swirls", that would mean extremely shallow light hairline scratches in the clearcoat.
Barely visible except in certain light.

I think you're referring to wax residue.

You are talking about just waxing on a fresh cleaned car...without any polishing or other processes having been done?

Wax has oil in it...once the oils harden that oily effect is diminished greatly..usually a day or two later..a cold water rinse would help to speed that up after waxing..as for the swirls I'm more interested in what I posted above to start...it sounds like you have them on the paint to start with and the wax just makes them more visible

you guys are right it is more of a residue like oily what if i do details what could i do to stop this what stepd before or after is it the wax i am using i use collinite i really can not wait two days and do the cold wash because the customer is going to need there vehicle back.

What i do is after i use a wax on my black car and have the residue like oil is use a quik detailer wipe down and it will get it off , try that and see how i will work for you.

Happened to me once on a dark blue car. I did it under my carport, then pulled it out when I was done and holy crap!!! I never saw the haze that was still there until it was under direct sunlight. It looked awful. So I just wiped it down with some S&G. Lesson learned.

Or you can use any quik detailer as Meguiar's or Poormoy's

Poormoy's is wow it sounds when I have a bad cold, Poormoy's world HAAaachoo!!! I noticed on my car that after I used collinite, (because I have'nt done a full paint correction) that the marring or swirls do seem to be intensified a bit. Can notice them more in the shade than before I waxed. That will change soon as I got my shippment of edge 2000 rotary pads and such but the rotary I guess will be here next week:(
