COME AT ME BRO
Who is still having problems with the site?

I know somedays I can get in no problem here at work, then others it won;t work until the afternoon. I always get the same browser message - "waiting on detailcity.org" and finally a server timeout error.

I know Kirk (cwcad) mentioned he has had problems too.

Just wondering if it will ever "correct itself" completely.

Hope you don't think I am stoking dying embers or anything. Just a conversation with Kirk brought it to my attention.

There are times that I can get on DC, and then it doesn't know where is the site? Don't know what's going on. Yesturday was on for 20 mins and then it wouldn't let in for 24 hrs. All well at least I'm on now.:dcrules

I occasionally get server not found issues. I just close down my email client and browser and then restart. It usually comes back on the first or second try. I usually get an issue when chatting in the chat room at least once each time.

Did you ever try the Open DNS servers? It will only take you a few minutes.

Im still having problems getting on at different times on the home computer. Im in Des Moines on WIFI right now. Im so computer illiterate Im surprized I get in here as easily as I do.

I had no problems for 2 to 3 weeks, then the past two nights I couldn't get on for several hours. I thought that I had gotten past the problem, ever told Troy as much.

For what it's worth (probably nothing) I have been on the site every night without any delays or unfound server. I can't hit it during the day because of work "protection".

Nope. It is probably for the same lame reason I am not using linux.

Yeah, but switching to Linux is a wee bit more involved than switching your DNS servers. For what it's worth, I have never had the issue at all, but I do use the Open DNS servers.

I'm probably going to get a spam warning :D, but the Open DNS servers are much better than your ISPs and they are FREE. Ok, I'm done. If you want to use slow outdated servers, it's on you! :surrender

I was having trouble yesterday to get on so I did try the openDNS option and it worked fine. It look a few seconds to change it.
