My volvo xc70 has the 40/20/40 rear seats. The bottom of the rears seats can come completely out as well as the middle seat top. It has plastic bottoms on all rear seat bottoms. Wondering should i armor them or not? Since they will probably not be folded down often.

Your asking the wrong crowd.....heck yea you should...twice to three times a year:D

I would get a good water based dressing the Armorall that you have suggested is kind of a bad word here...but in a car like yours I would remove the seats every six months depending on how much action they get, to clean and protect

Because of the bad publicity from years back, I don't use Armor All, but I have read where today's Armor All is not harmful to vinyl or rubber. I think at least some versions of it are water based. Since I have been happy with what I am using, I never bothered to research it any.

Your right but its branded into my mind at this point..I think that most that have not researched the new stuff on the market, just use Armor All as a term...its like saying Windex for glass cleaning...branded name for a certain application!

what product do u recommend that i use on the plastic on the bottom of the seats? besides armor all what other products that are easily obtainable on the budget but get the job down? I already had armor all spray bottle. As i want to keep my volvo interior looking new like it came from the factory.

My personal favorite is Poorboys natural look, it gives me a nice clean look.
I'm sure others will chime in with their favorites.

If your looking for a good replacement for your AA...then what Jay has recommended is a real good one...303 Aerospace is another and you might be able to find that at a Marine Supply store...They are water based dressing...That said your AA will be OK to use on that area...I would not use that on the leather or door panels, dash, etc...

I use zymol leather cleaner and conditioner on the leather portions of the seats and the leather part of the door panels. Thanks Jay i will have to try poorboy's natural look on the underneathe of the seats

I'm a huge fan of PB NL and religiously use it but I made a new discovery last week. The 1Z Einzett Cockpit Lemon is an awesome product. I bought it last week from AG BOGO. It has a nice matte finish with a lemon scent mixed in. It's kinda like an air freshner and protectant all in one.
