For cleaning that tight spot on the bottom where the glass comes near the dash...

Don't have it in the car:rofl:rofl:rofl
It's so much easier that way

Come on, you know if you post pictures of your detail you have to write the process down as well! It is the weekend, I'm sure people will want to try your techniques out :crazy2:

:yikes:

You really got all of it that is for sure!! Wish my windshield were out like that. Then I could replace it because I have a lot of chips and one big crack in the one I have in there now.

Of course I'll give the process:
  • about scratched glass
  • Spray glass W/ Burco window glo glass cleaner
  • Wipe clean with Scott towel 1010
  • Mark scratched glass w/ magic marker
  • More about how many scratches there are
  • Attempt to polish W/ cerium oxide and keep fingers crossed scratch is not too deep
Then either:
A. :yay Put glass back after re-cleaning w/ window glo glass cleaner and wiping wih 1010 towel
B. Scratch too deep and have to throw the thing away :wall

Hope this helps :lol2:
Thanks for listening

Do you remove your motor when cleaning the engine compartment?

Do you remove the seats when doing the interior?

Doesn't everyone completely dissassemble the entire car to detail? I mean c'mon, how are you supposed to get that timing chain to sparkle?! (Just kidding boys). That is truly the way to get every corner of your glass perfect.

My last car had a free windshield replacement and the installer came to the house where I obviously have all my detailing supplies and equipment. As soon as he had the old windshield out I asked if he could hold up a moment or two while I got into the bottom of the dash with my Metro Vac N Blo and some quick detailing efforts. I also closely monitored how he cleaned the new one before it went on.

Quite frankly, I didn't give a s**t if he thought I was nuts because I wanted to take advantage of a once in the car's lifetime of getting into areas I wouldn't ever see again (hopefully).

I like your process jay :rofl
