Mother's SYNWAX

I've been using this wax for a couple months now and have had some good results with putting it on and taking it off even in direct sunlight. Has anyone else used this product, if so any good or bad comment about it. Maybe another product to try that works the same.

Just so you don't think you are being ignored. :)

I have not used the product, but Mother's does seem to have a good reputation.
Of course there are those that will knock it because it is an OTC product, but I personally don't think OTC automatically means bad.

As far as a different product, most of Poorboy's stuff can be used in sun or shade.

FWIW, why change from something you are happy with?

That's a pretty strange question coming from me, but I know my problem. I'm more than a litle bit crazy. :D

Thanks for the response, i guess its hard being the new guy to the "DC" world:)

I'll have to try some PB's product, everyone seems to love it.

Mother's Synwax is a nice product. It is very very easy to use, easy enough that I use it on a RV (38 feet long). I believe it cleans a little which is also nice. I apply it by machine and remove after a few minutes, sun or shade. It's hard to comment on how long it lasts but it is a very nice OTC product. BTW Welcome to DC!

Not really.
I think you will find the members will be quite helpful, but remember that it might be a while before someone reads your question that feels qualified to answer it.
In my case, I really couldn't help since I had never used the product.
When budman3 woke up from his nap, he took care of you. :D

I have not used it (just the Mothers Reflections line) but I know you can get Synwax at Walmart for just over $8.

Hey carmaids guy.
I find most waxes and polishes and detailing products to be good, better or best. Mothers in general is in the good-better category IMO, but I haven't tried that product.
Don't get frustrated posting. It takes a while. There is also some good reading (and posting) to be done in the archives.

I think one of the reasons it took so long for a response is you asked a question on a product that most were unfamiliar with. I know I have not used that particular product. I think that Mother's has a fine line of products(ie. Reflection line) but you cannot go wrong with Poorboy's either. Easy on/easy off, can be used in sun or shade, and does not stain trim. All things that I like.

I find the Synwax to be one of the easiest OTC products to remove. Easy on, Very easy off. Nice shine, but not as deep and wet as Mothers Reflections. (IMHO) As far as OTC goes, it's def. one of the better ones out there. (As long as you don't need powerful cleaning/polishing action.)

I have used FX Syn-wax and it is easy to apply and remove.
It looks as good as NXT and lasts much much longer.

Since DG can be found in some stores I consider it an OTC product and I would say that FX is a good OTC product but not as good durability wise as DG

I have used Synwax several times since last fall and find it goes on very easily and comes off just as easily. Takes off water spots, too! (I am using it on a new car so not much else for it to take off...) I top it with S100 so I am not the best to address durability or final appearance. I bought mine at WalMart, but they have clearanced it here. (I picked up an extra bottle at half price...)

I picked up some SynWax on clearance at Walmart too. I tried it on one of our cars on Thursda. It was easy on / easy on. I have not had a chance to check the appearance in the sun. I may take some pics tomorrow but I want to top it.
