I use my APC on both wheels and tires at 15:1 and get about 10-15 gallons per gallon![]()
Well, if I can clean the tires and wheels safely with your APC at a 10:1 dilution ratio, I may have to switch brands.
Have you tested your APC on ALL wheel types?

FWIW, I've used his APC on aluminum, painted, chrome, blackwall, whitewall...All with great success. 10:1 is a great dilution too.
BTW, here's why I never thought to try Steve's APC.
This is an excerpt from the ad over at Autogeek...
"Poorboy’s APC is a professional strength cleaner and may need to be diluted for some applications. Use it full strength on the engine, but dilute 1:1 with water for carpet and cloth. Always test for colorfastness. Spray or dab cleaner onto spot and wait a few moments before wiping with a clean, damp cloth. Some spots may require agitation with a soft, nylon brush."
Nowhere in the ad does it say you can use it 10:1 or 15:1 for tires/wheels etc.
As a matter of fact, the ad leaves you to believe that you should use it full strength except for carpets and cloth.
I would change the ad so people have a better idea of the versatility of the product.![]()
who posted that ad? the first part is off the botle, but no where do we state dilution ratios. It's also not on my site ..i just checked...we do always recommend as most products do, to test a spot for leather or uphostery, but only as a precaution
For the most part i always use it 15:1 and only use it stronger if a particular stain in carpet or cloth necessitates it![]()
If you have a look at my post again you will see this...

You might want them to have a look at the ad. It leads someone to believe that you have to options... full strength, or diluted 1:1. Most dilution ratio's for carpets and interiors are usually very mild. Therefore, the ad would make one think that 1:1 is a weak dilution, and probably shouldn't be diluted much more... I know that's what I thought. :dunno:
