1935 Ford is Done...

DennisH

Old Car Nut
Process was:
Washed with DP Extreme and foam gun.
Polished with my new Metoba with LC Black Pad Using 106ff using 1200 RPM for the first pass then slowed down to 700 RPM to finish.
When over hood with Edge White WOOL pad with 106ff.
Went back over the hood with LC Black and 95rd to get the Spider Web that the white wool left -- oops
LSP was two coats of VW by hand and I do mean using the bare hand to apply.

This car is cherry red and the yellow tint only shows up in pictures. The color in the last picture is probably the closes to the what you would see in person.

Tomorrow morning we leave 300 mile trip and I can start over.:howdy

Absolutely sweet car !!! Is that a Good Guys membership sticker on the windshield :rockon . I took care of an all steel 1935 Ford for 2 years before the owner let her go, and eventually wound up on the block at Barrett Jackson. Your 35 looks immaculate, and I love the old fat fenders from that era. Thanks for sharing that one, she brought back some memories.

I love seeing cars like your being properly prepped before a show. I know its stand out in a crowd !!!

Thanks for the comments.... Yep that is a Goodguys sticker I have been a member for quite a few years.

We are going to a midnight car show and have to drive it about 300 miles this weekend. I don't own a trailer but getting there is half the fun.:D

Very nice ride but I am disappointed to see Chevy power under the hood.

I seems to be the norm for most of the old Ford hotrods I see at the car shows. I think its partially because they are easier to install/maintain and a higher degree of reliability vs. the old stock engines. Looks great btw you got to love those large old school grills.

I believe there is a Good Guys show out in Ohio this weekend. Friend of mine is attending, and he is a buyer. Hopefully he comes back with something nice.

Enjoy the weekend !!!
