Redoing certain areas to correct paint

Get over it and move on.
Here's a kind of general question. Is there any product issues if you polish a small section of the body to correct?

I found an area on the rear quarter panel of my car with light scratches that was really bugging me. I decided to repolish that area and then apply the glaze, sealant and wax. I polished a larger area than just the scratched area thinking of the feathering concept.

Was wondering though, if applying the glaze or sealant over the existing areas that had not been repolished will there be any bonding issues.

Hopefully I have not completely confused everyone.

Thanks for the responses.

There should no bonding issues at all the sealant and gazes have cured on the surface, providing that its been 24 hours or more.....most bonding issues come from the product not curing before laying another layer of something else

I don't use glazes and the products I am using seem to be compatible even though some are considered sealants and another is called a wax. (DG#105 and DG Aqua Wax or Opti Seal and Aqua Wax. I do what you are talking about fairly often with no problems evident. Since I usually reapply something every 4 to 6 weeks, I can't comment on long term effects.

That's more or less what I was thinking also. If you follow the directions on the product, you'll rarely have problems.

Thanks for the replies. I probably am just overanalyzing the situation. Figured I would ask those with more time and talent to be sure.
