Darn, etching finally got through clearcoat

I have a 2012 Toyota Tacoma that is always parked in the sun. After 10 years of sun, beach and beatings, the clear coat has failed on the hood and soon the roof. Etching got through and the clear coat is starting to peel back. I took pretty good care of it but probably didn`t wash the truck as often as I should have. I used Gtechniq ceramics and I think it held off the peeling but it happened. Friend at auto body shop said Toyota`s clear coats are notorious for being thin and soft.

I will be looking into getting the hood and roof painted soon. Then back to the coatings!!!! I will give graphene a shot, The Guz has pointed me to a local dealer that sells Jade graphene. Will try that.

The truck is 10 years old. I think I started using ceramics 3 or 4 years ago. I applied the last coating maybe 2 years ago?

the truck is in the sun 24/7 and is at the beach a lot. Takes a beating.
