And the Crown Vic was pricey for an ex-LE vehicle; I`m not talking four figures by a long shot :( Living in a woods can get expensive now and then.

Phew! I too was a little worried. I only have one large Maple which is just now getting to the size of needing a trim and I was starting to worry about how much it would cost.

After shopping around, last year I paid $150 to have four palm trees trimmed. This included a $40 haul away fee which I really could’ve cleaned up myself but the tree trimmers were sneaky and did the job when I wasn’t home. I don’t want to pay more than that this year.

Well, one of the trees they took down was so big two people couldn`t put their arms around it, and it was in a place where they couldn`t get any heavy equipment in there. That one alone took a few days.

I have a few pole saws, one of which is *long*, so I can handle most normal trimming jobs. But when it comes to jobs that require real climbing I call the Pros.

Decided to take a step away from Social Media this week. I deactivated my Facebook. I kept instagram just from a business perspective to share pictures of my work. I feel somewhat liberated though. When I had it I would just go on and check statuses and waste time and was really getting nothing out of it. I was averaging about 24min a day on Facebook which probably on a daily basis may not have been much as others spend but I just didnt see the need for it anymore and just felt it was time to get off of it.

Anyone else had to step away from Facebook/ Social Media?

When my Ex imploded our marriage in 2012, my sweet daughters felt bad for me and set me up with a Facebook page, etc..
I knew - nothing - about it back then..
It was fine for keeping up with them and their families, that was ok..
Then all these people somehow get on there, and I started getting a lot of stuff that I had absolutely no time to deal with..
For example, one nice lady would post up 25 recipes for cooking - every day - yes, - every day - :)
Had no time to even just delete all this stuff!!!!

So, I deleted F/B, eventually, and don`t really miss it..

My kids know they can email, text, call, me, and that`s how we do it..
Have absolutely NO desire to waste my LIFE away on all that social media whack stuff, thank you...

I can`t find some tools I haven`t used in a couple of decades. Like my timing light, vacuum gauge, hand held oscilloscope, and who knows what else. Who knows where they are after all the different moves. I just hadn`t given them a thought up till now because I need them again. It sucks if I have to you buy them again.

Did you ever buy new? Ya know that`s the best way to get the lost ones to turn up.

i did replace the missing stuff. Some new and some I found on offer up. None of it was too expensive. I couldn`t believe how expensive new timing lights are. All I need is a basic one. Glad I found one for $11 on offer up.

These two bucks came walking through today. I just happened to have the camera sitting on the table. When I first saw them they were only about fifteen feet behind our house. By the time I grabbed the camera, got the lens cap off, turned on at got to the patio door. They they were already to the house across the field. I wouldn`t have gotten the picture at all if the camera hadn`t been right in front of me.

Gee, Backyard Wildlife indeed!

Funny, we haven`t seen our local herd lately..the dogs are so used to them they don`t even pay attention to `em much any more, let alone bark.

Growing up, I was told it was good luck to find a penny facing Heads up on the ground.

Does anyone else flip pennies over if they see them on the ground Tails up, so the next person gets a lucky penny?

Oneheadlite- Huh, I never heard of that!

My wife often picks up pennies, but I`m not touching anything like that unless I can immediately wash my hands ;)
