New Detail Trailer

I like the way that looks. I might just have to copy it just a bit with a few modifications to fit my trailer.

UPDATE...........

I re did the trailer, again! LOL
I wasn't happy with the set-up before, so of course, had my Father build the shelf. Then everything was moved around.

Pics....
All my bottles are now on one side of the trailer. I took everything off the back door.

All the brushes are now on the other side of the trailer. Along with my rags and pads. I put 3 bins above the the rags for the pads, which came out to be PERFECT size for the pads. I believe they hold 9 pads each. (6.5 inch)

And here is a pic from straight back. I think I have a lot more floor space now as well.

Don't worry, I will still be doing A LOT more to it. Money has just been tight with the rain we have been having. I will be putting a rubber, runner mat down to help protect the floor. Also, hoping to get a central vac to put in the front corner. I want everything to be stationary.

That new setup brings a tear to my eye!! Great setup TX...you look real professional to the customer...dose to me!

WOW, Very well organized looks like you have some room to comfortably move around .Congrats to your Dad he did a fine job on the shelves..

Chris, you don't even know how much this thread will help me in the next few weeks. Your trailer set up; in one word, is IDEAL. I can't wait to pick up my new truck tomorrow and my trailer shortly thereafter. Then I get to play construction site foreman for a few days and get my rig all looking purty like yours. It's gonna be a lot of fun.

YOU'RE A GENIUS!

A couple q's for ya:

Where did you get the self adhesive tile and how much? Would you install this type of flooring again? I read in your post you talking about some kind of mat.

Did you run the exhaust through double walled pipe at floor level or just stick her down through the floor?

The trailer will be a 6X12 haulmark transport. I honestly cannot wait to start customizing! I stumbled upon this website yesterday, they have some really cool looking stuff: Products | by diamondLife™

Once again,
THANKS!

Chris,
You have inspired me, I recently baught a chevy 3/4 ton. Using a couple of your ideas like the stand for the reel mount and soon I think some peg board for my brushes. I hope you don't mind, but it really looks like you have put some real thaught into the setup. Here a couple of pics almost done any suggestions?:thanks

You guys need to stop posting these pictures of the interiors of you detail trailers as it has me wanting to go out there and finish mine. Not that my trailer is bad or anything but I would still like to have mine done up as well..

I need to direct some of the money to the graphics on the trailer as I am sure that it is going to set me back a bit due to what I am going to do.

Then I will focus on finishing up the interior.

Chris, is that floor holding up? Would you install it in your rig again? I'm picking up my trailer within a week and will start outfitting it, starting with the floor.

I'm assuming your floor was steel? If so, I think I will be putting down a luan (sp?) floor first, then the tiles.

Shaun,
The floor in the trailer is actually 3/4 or 1 inch plywood, recessed in. I cleaned the floor very good before installing the self stick tiles. After cleaning the floor, I painted on an "adhesive primer". Picked up from Lowes for a few bucks. I picked up the self stick tiles from Home Depot. Not sure what I paid for them, but they were cheap.

Would I install them again in the trailer? I am split between a yes and no answer to be honest. The tiles are getting scratched up from sliding things around, hence why I want to put a rubber, runner mat down to help keep it lasting. a few tiles are coming up at the corner, but nothing a little glue couldn't fix.

If you are looking for cheap, I would say use the tiles. If you want MORE durability, look for something else or add a rubber mat down like I am going to.

EDIT.....sent you a PM as well

When I had my trailer I put linoleum down and it held up really well. Just like it would on your kitchen floor anyhow.
