PB Black Hole + ? Wax

And this is the guy whose work won Pebble Beach?

sometimes it`s who you know not what you know ...

If he is doing museum level vehicles , washing is out of the question and paint repairs may be minor at best ... :hmmm:

Not unless you were at a car show years back on the east coast.
(and you are much to humble to be the guy i`m thinking about)

hehe
nope. no car shows on the east coast.

in other news....

Over the weekend, I used Black Hole and Natty`s Black paste wax on a black hood. Ambient temp was 95* (and got up to 100 near the hood). Surface temp was 147*. No issues using BH or Black wax. Sun friendly? YES!!!

Going to do the whole car, presumably with Black Hole, along with Natty`s Blue.
Out of pure curiosity, I will do one panel with Souveran. ..

The look we`re going for is a wet, jetting pool of ink. Nothing shiny or "bright", but rather more "deep".

I`ll be looking forward to hearing how this goes, especially the diffs/not between the two waxes.

Just a thought here........ (rare occurrence) B)

Bring the car to Poorboys world have Steve help you.... (just steal his rolling stool from him)

Okay funny guy :)

Well, I will have a dedicated thread, as I ran into something weird and would like some assistance. But that will come later today, more likely tomorrow. Will explain there.

In the meantime...some pics to add worth to this thread. :P

Ambient temp: 95*

Surface temp: WHOA. 147*

Working the Black Hole in with a black foam pad, on the jiggle machine.

Let the Natty`s Black paste wax dry to a haze (2 pics)

And people like beading shots. Here`s one. I used a small spray bottle with a VERY fine mist pattern. Took several pumps to get these beads.

Where`s the rest of the car ?!?!?!?!?!

Where`s the rest of the car ?!?!?!?!?!

i think thats his junker test panel

:)

Rest of the car is in storage. My housing "situation" is odd. I can`t go bringing my various cars to where I live. Landlady related. So, I have to come up with something creative when I start the rest of this car (1991 Honda CRX). :( Eventually we`ll get our own place.

The junker test panel I usually use is a door panel. But that sucker has pretty much been depleted of it`s good use.

The other "test panel" I`ve used is the hood of my daily driven Yaris. haha...Yeah, that one is near its end as well.

You could always give the crx to me lol

How I would deal with 95 degree heat- Take it apart and do a panel at a time in the comfort of your living room.

Bill

95 isn`t so bad, but I do use a canopy to avoid direct sun. Okay, it sucks! But gotta do what ya gotta do. :)
No way the wife would...I`d be dead.

you either aren`t married, or you`re braver then me....

LOL - yeah, I`m thinking the same. Or she is one heck of a woman. Having my bride hold the Liquid Natty`s Red during the cake cutting is one thing, but polishing panels in the living room? Not even this brave guy (me) would try it!

I love my civic coupes but also love to have a 89-90 crx with a b18 dropped into it

Just for a little fun

Oh, soooo much fun. Here`s me (slow driver, and taking it easy as it was near the end of the day) in my `89 CRX with the GSR B18 (185hp?).

Yeah, I am married. But I also have an integral garage that`s underneath the house. All I have to do is close the garage door and open the basement door a little to catch some A/C and we`re fine. Of course, I don`t live in the tropics either!

Bumping to remind etnops to POST PICS !!!!!

Grand National drop off is tonight. Will be working on it tomorrow afternoon. Will post pics for sure.
Interested myself to see how much Black Hole will fill on this paint, and how much of a difference (that I can see, anyway) there may be between Natty`s Blue and Souveran.
