Which pad combo for the boss?

Yeah, that`s what I always do, but I can`t help but wonder whether finishing with MF might be viable. I do simply love how easy MF is to clean with compressed air.
Funny.. I was going to make this exact post. Waiting on a no exclusion sale also and was wondering about pads.. Great minds must think alike

Thin foam pads are the worst in my experience and the only time I feel they are advantageous is if you are trying to correct paint.... using a PC 7424xp.....paired with a 5" backing plate....on a perfectly flat panel....
I guess in that situation they are great because you get more pad rotation. But when it comes to 99% of cars and trucks, the small amount of added rotation isn`t worth the added vibration. So other than "looking cool" I can`t figure out what the actually benefit of a super thin foam pad is? They stall MUCH easier on convex surfaces as well.
Like Accumulator mentioned, I`m one of those guys that tried a Buff and Shine pad and fell in love. Now I own every single pad they make. Even the double-sided wool pads for gel coat.haha I love how durable they are and I LOVE their European prepolymer foams. Plus their 4" flat pads are truly just a smaller version of their 5.5" flats pads. Unlike Lake Country`s 4" flats which are the worst pads I`ve ever used. Ever. Out of a dozen that I bought when I first started detailing there were no two pads cut the same. They are truly horribly. I do love lake country`s foamed wool and hybrid wool pads though.
Also, the low-pro pads are kind of falsely advertised (in a good way). The foam is in fact thin but the rubber interface makes them about the same thickness as the Uro-tec pads I believe. They are by far the most durable pads I have ever used and they`re well worth the small loan I had to take out to buy a few.

I liked the HD Orbitals on my Rupes. They seem too firm at first but loosen up after a couple passes.

The Rupes m/f pads, yellow/blue are different. The blue works great & is easy to clean vs the yellow. The Boss m/f offers just one for compounding/polishing. Like to try that one.

Boss and B&S MF, choose any 15 diff. colors in-between, but finish with
Rupes white pads. Oh Yeah !
