Thanks to all for the suggestions. Kinda leaning toward basing ourselves on Islamorada and bumming around the Keys for a week or so. Thanks for the lowdown on the Key West atmosphere; we`ll likely be heading down for a day but sounds like the overall vibe is something that has passed me by ( although it might be reserved compared to our southern excursions in 2015 & 2016 - Kid Rock's Chillin' the Most Cruise 2017 wife is a big fan so despite the fact that I don`t like crowds, don`t like noise and chaos, I went along...and had a blast ).

Time for something a little more laid back this year methinks.
